I signed up for the govliquidation.com, but it takes a while to get accepted.
Sure would be nice if someone here could get these for a good price. =)

LOL - well I signed up for something. Hope it was the right site!
Be careful about that. Last time I "signed up for something" with the government I wound up in a foreign country....

Well you were lucky, I ended up in quite a few myself. Then I was involved in 2 wars( or conflicts, since we never actually went to "war")......a couple of times...lol
Panomaniac, govliquidation is a pretty good site, and deals seem to come up fairly often. But if you have a military facility close to your home that has a DRMO ( that is where this stuff is stored, then you are in luck, just give them a call and they will let you view the goods before the item(s) come up for bid and you can pick them up. Only ting is though, if the lot has 4 pallets of junk associated, you have to grab it all... so be careful with what you bid on.
The govdeals site is a new one to me. It looks more like a local/state site, and I have had no experience with them.
When I was in the navy, and we were getting stuff ready to send to DRMO, I would go there and buy the stuff at a discount or be told I would have to wait till the put the goods online for auction....But it was a great deal, and I saved a good bit on tools that way

Hi guys,
sorry I didn't see this sooner, been away for a few days. If one of you wants them and can work out all the details, I can go get 'em Easter weekend if the auction is over or they will sell them to you outright. I would need reimbursement for a truck for a round trip. I think they would fit in a full size van, not sure though, someone with more knowledge of their size would need to advise. I am in Raleigh and could store them in my garage for a little while. after Easter weekend would be problematic as I will be out of town the following two weekends. let me know if I can be of help.

Hey Scott. I'd certainly be willing to pay for the truck and your time. I'll be in Greensboro in about a month, so you would not have to store them long.
I did register for the govdeals thing, but still no word from them. Hope I can get a bid in.
Hi guys,
would be glad to pick them up for anyone that can win 'em. again, the caveats are:
you would have to handle the entire transaction, and contact the person listed for a
suitable pickup time. I work during the day so an evening pickup would also be possible,
greenville is about an hour and a half from me. I can get a van or truck to go pick them up, with the buyer paying for the rental. they just won't fit in my Highlander!! storage for a few weeks to even a few months is possible and there would be no charge for that. I'm
an hour and a half from greensboro also, for mileage purposes. I am not available the two weekends following Easter.
thanks,
scott in nc
Here is the main problem with pick up. The listing says:
"Property may be removed between the hours of 7:00a.m. and 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, excluding legal holidays."
That's pretty restrictive! Maybe something better can be worked out.
